To represent creativity, I chose a dynamic, yet clean typography for the initials “J” and “M.” The letters were designed to flow into one another, with sharp lines and subtle curves that suggest movement and innovation. This fluidity reflects the evolving and adaptable nature of digital marketing.
For the digital marketing aspect, I incorporated subtle geometric elements into the monogram, symbolizing precision and strategy, which are central to my approach in digital marketing. The colors were carefully selected to evoke trust and professionalism while maintaining an energetic and forward-thinking vibe.
The final monogram is a balance of sleek, modern design with an intuitive structure, making it memorable and aligned with the values of creativity and digital marketing that I aim to showcase through my work. It serves as a strong visual identity for jasonmelia.com, capturing my expertise and vision in the digital space.
For the Avista website, the graphic design process was focused on creating a visually appealing, user-friendly, and professional online presence that aligns with the brand’s values and services.

Designing Graphic Work for Catafilaprod.eu – An Extreme Death Metal Label in Ireland
When I was approached by Catafilaprod.eu, an extreme death metal label based in Ireland, to design their graphic work, I knew the design needed to reflect the intensity and raw energy of the music they represent. Here’s a breakdown of how I approached the project:
1. Understanding the Brand Identity
The first step in creating any design is understanding the essence of the brand. Catafilaprod.eu is focused on extreme death metal, a genre known for its brutal, dark, and visceral sound. The label wanted visuals that mirrored these qualities while also capturing the underground, rebellious spirit of the scene. I took time to understand the ethos of the label—how they represent the artists, the values of the community, and the impact they want to have on the scene.
2. Concept Development
With the label’s dark and aggressive identity in mind, I began conceptualizing ideas that would communicate the power of extreme death metal. I gathered inspiration from various elements of death metal culture: chaotic typography, visceral imagery, and dark, otherworldly themes. The concept was to create visuals that were disturbing, abstract, and energetic, while still maintaining a certain level of artistry that represented the depth of the music.
3. Design Elements
4. Integration with Music
To ensure the design was in harmony with the music, I listened to samples from the label’s artists. This was crucial in understanding how to complement the music’s aggression and intensity visually. For album covers and promotional material, I made sure the visuals didn’t just stand alone but felt like an extension of the music itself.
5. Execution
Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools, I combined hand-drawn elements with digital manipulation. I created high-contrast compositions, playing with the negative space to evoke tension and chaos. I layered textures and patterns to give the designs a raw, gritty feeling. Each piece was crafted to give an unsettling, intense visual experience that matched the tone of the music.
6. Finalizing the Artwork
After refining the compositions, I ensured that the final designs worked across various formats—be it digital artwork, album covers, merchandise, or promotional materials. This versatility was key for Catafilaprod.eu, as they needed designs that would work across multiple platforms and mediums.
7. Feedback and Revisions
After presenting the initial designs, I worked closely with the Catafilaprod team to refine the artwork. Their input was invaluable, and I made adjustments to ensure the designs resonated with their audience. This collaborative process helped fine-tune the final pieces into something that truly represented the label’s spirit.
In the end, the graphic work I created for Catafilaprod.eu not only captured the essence of extreme death metal but also reinforced the brand’s commitment to showcasing raw, powerful, and unapologetic music.
One of the most exciting projects I worked on for DME Promotions was creating graphic design flyers and posters for their live gigs and events, specifically designed for social media promotion. The objective was to create visually compelling designs that captured the energy of the live events and engaged social media users, driving ticket sales and awareness for each gig.
Here’s a breakdown of my approach:
Social Media-Optimized Designs: Understanding the importance of standing out in social media feeds, I designed eye-catching flyers and posters with optimized sizes and formats for various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. The designs were tailored for both organic posts and paid ad campaigns, ensuring they looked great across different device screens.
Dynamic, Event-Specific Visuals: Each gig had its own unique vibe, so I ensured the designs captured the specific energy of the event. From bold colors and graphic elements to incorporating imagery that resonated with the genre or theme of the gig, the goal was to spark excitement and curiosity. Whether it was a rock concert or an electronic dance event, the visuals matched the vibe.
Clear and Engaging Messaging: I made sure the key event details—such as the artist line-up, date, time, venue, and ticket info—were clearly visible and easy to digest at a glance. I also used attention-grabbing call-to-action phrases like “Get Your Tickets Now!” or “Join Us for a Night of Music!” to encourage users to take immediate action.
Shareability and Engagement: Since social media thrives on sharing and interaction, I designed the flyers and posters to be both visually appealing and shareable. I incorporated bold typography and striking visuals that encouraged followers to share with their networks. Additionally, I included social media handles, event hashtags, and interactive elements that made it easy for users to engage with the post.
Promotion-Ready for Ads: In addition to creating designs for organic social media posts, I also created versions optimized for paid advertisements. I focused on strong visuals and compelling copy to maximize the click-through rate, ensuring that the gig’s promotion would reach a wider audience and generate ticket sales.
The result? A series of gig-specific flyers and posters that not only captured the essence of the live events but also stood out in social media feeds. The designs led to increased engagement, ticket sales, and social buzz for the events, helping DME Promotions reach a wider audience and build excitement around their gigs.
